Mountain Top Music Center July Newsletter It’s summer in New Hampshire, and a great time to play music!   Or maybe you just want to enjoy a concert?   Be sure to check out everything that is happening at Mountain Top Music Center this summer – there is something for everyone! Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul Summer Classes and Ensembles There is still time to get involved! Summer lessons and classes have begun, but you can still get involved.   Lessons are available “a la carte” this summer ~ simply call and register for as many as you’d like! Topics in Music Appreciation Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 PM Like jazz?  This summer, MTMC faculty member Mike Sakash will lead weekly discussion and listening sessions focused on the great jazz singers.  ”Drop in” for $10 and learn more about these great musicians and their music that is such an integral part of our American heritage!     Next up: Nat King Cole – July 11th Mike Sakash and “music appreciators” listening to  Anita O’Day in summer Jazz History class The Mountain Top “Old Time String Band” On July 1st, the Mountain Top Old Time String Band performed traditional folk music on the porch of the Cranmore Mountain Lodge as part of the Valley’s 1st annual “Voices and Colors” festival.   Angelina Baker tune The MTMC Old Time String Band rehearses every Wednesday at 6:30PM.  ”Drop in” for $15 and play along!  Interested in learning how to play this kind of music?  The MTM “Folk Band for beginners” meets at 5:30PM on Wednesdays.  New members are ALWAYS welcome.
