Advice to the Players Presents…

Richard III

“Is it possible to sit still and yet be moved at the same time?” by Mark DeLancey. It is M&D Production’s goal to awaken community-based action and understanding of social issues through cutting edge theater. Our local actors, directors, retailers, venders, patrons and volunteers are the core of who we are. Complete community support. All the funds raised through this approach revitalize and strengthen our community and its spirit. A Win – Win for everyone. So, as you can see, this truly makes us a “Community Theater – making a difference”

Though historical and archaeological discoveries have brightened our view of the real Richard III, Shakespeare’s character still stands as an archetypal villain and trickster, capable of taking on any guise when it suits his whim. Our production examines Richard as Trickster, or Richard as Actor, and attempts to pull down the theatrical barriers: the workings of the actor’s craft (and Richard’s guile) are exposed — but even stripped of illusion they remain mysterious!
