The Mount Washington Cog Railway’s busy 145th season of bringing visitors to the summit of the Northeast’s highest peak is under way. This Monday, July 21, The Cog is offering the last in a series of popular Summer Summit Photo Tours.
At the helm will be professional photographer George Mitchell, who will focus on the majestic Presidential range from the top of Mount Washington. The tour consists of a round trip train ride to the summit and back down, with two hours to spend at the top with a short guided hike to Great Gulf. There will be plenty of vantage points for shooting the passing trains, panoramic views and unique characteristics and weather of the Presidential range.
Participants will also get the opportunity to visit the Mount Washington Observatory’s new interactive weather exhibit, Extreme Mount Washington, located in the Sherman Adams Summit Building, as well as enjoy the other summit activities.
Limited space is available. Summit Photo Tours are $119 per person. Please book in advance by calling 800.922.8825 or 603.278.5404. The July 21st photo tour will be open for booking through July 17.
