WHAT’S YOUR STORY?
Eaton Center, NH: Max’s at the Snowvillage Inn presents its third “What’s Your Story?” on Thursday, March 26, 2015. This series is based on the National Public Radio “Moth” show in which the storyteller and audience share impromptu tales of life experiences. For $25, people can enjoy a 3-course dinner and tickets to the show. Doors open at 5pm, dinner at 5:30 pm and the show is at 7pm in Max’s Restaurant at the Inn.
“The Storytelling Dinners are enjoying a loyal following. Our evenings in both January and February were sold out and we expect a sold out house on Thursday, March 26,” said Jen Kovach, Owner/Innkeeper at the Snowvillage Inn.
Storytellers for March 26 include (in their own words): JAKE JACOBSON who returns as MC for the evening. Jake is a stand up guy. An aspiring comedian hacking his way out of the hills of Western Maine, he specializes in saying what everyone is thinking yet getting away with it.
ANGELA MERRILL: Entering her forties and riding a creative swell that comes with age and divorce, Angela Merrill has been looking for stagetime ever since. She’s fighting cynicism, reconfiguring her future, and packing on the miles to soothe the comedy beast. Story telling has always been an interest, and the Moth was one of the first podcasts she downloaded when she finally figured out her iPod.
AHARON WILLOWS: Often described as “weird,” “pretty funny,” “a considerate lover,” Aharon Willows started his comedy career in New York City. After making no splash whatsoever, he moved back to Maine where he is honing his craft as part of the Portland Comedy Co-op at night while making breakfast sandwiches during the day.
WILL GREEN: Born in small-town Michigan, now residing in slightly less small-town Maine, Will Green shares stories of his rural upbringing, 10 years of teaching, and a slew of failures along the way. Using his signature style and relatable personality, Will can twist any story into something hilarious.
