Starting Wednesday, August 12, the Library, in partnership with Eastside Bike Guides, will offer a beginning mountain bike skills clinic series for novice women riders.
It’s a four-week series which will be held on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Library. The series will focus on female beginner riders with little to no experience. The goal is to help new riders understand the basics of their bikes and teach the fundamental skills required to ride safely and with confidence.
These clinics are ideal for women who have just purchased their first mountain bike or those who have never felt comfortable trying to learn and ride in a group of more experienced riders.
Our idea is to offer a fun and supportive learning environment so that riding will be more enjoyable. This is also the perfect training for novice riders who are thinking of participating in our ‘Bike for Books- MTB Adventure Rides‘ fundraiser on October 3rd.
