Starting Point is offering a January volunteer training starting today, Wednesday January 13th. Volunteers must attend 30 hours of training in order to meet the NH RSA and program requirements and to acquire the skills needed to become an advocate. However, the public is also welcome to attend any and all open trainings as an opportunity to learn more about the issues and about Starting Point services.
Becoming a volunteer for Starting Point is an opportunity to be involved in the ongoing and vitally important movement to end domestic and sexual violence and stalking in our community. In addition to providing life changing advocacy to victims the skills developed through training and with the direct supervision from staff are skills that can translate into resume standard skills for future career applications.
For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our volunteer coordinator at 447-2494.
Training dates for January are 1/13, 1/14, 1/20, 1/21 and 1/27 from 6-9 pm and 1/23 from 9 am to 4 pm. Call or email for locations and to check for any cancellations. The next scheduled training will start in March 2016.
