Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center will offer a 3-week program of coed on-snow clinics for adult skiers, intermediate level and above. The ski clinics will be open to ages 16 and up and will emphasize instruction in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
Led by Ski School Director and 1984 Olympian Sue Wemyss, the intermediate programs will run on Saturdays from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on January 23, January 30 and February 6, 2016. Participants should have some prior cross country skiing experience, have an interest in learning and improving, and have the desire to be part of a fun and supportive group. The topic for the January 23 clinic will be “Skate Skiing Up Hills”.
Cost for the 3-day program, which includes a trail pass for the day, is $69/3-week session or $28/single session. Great Glen season passholder costs are $59/3-week session and $22/single session. Special pricing is available on skate rental packages during clinics at $12/day. Rental packages include skate skis, boots and poles.
First time and very novice skiers are encouraged to check into the Great Glen Ski School offerings, which include both group and private lessons. A first-time lesson package is available for just $19 on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays in January and then on non-holiday Wednesdays until the end of the season.
A minimum number of 5 participants are required to hold the program, with a maximum of 12. For more information visit greatglentrails.com, or call Sue Wemyss at Great Glen Trails at (603) 466-2333 x148, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
