White Mountain Waldorf School Hires New Director of Advancement, Rose M. Heggeman

The White Mountain Waldorf School is pleased to welcome Rose Heggeman as the new Director of Advancement.  The main focus of her work will be marketing, enrollment and fundraising. Rose is a Maine native, living in Bridgton with her husband, Jim, and their two children: Alana, age 5, and Xander, age 4, both of whom are attending the school.  Rose has a bachelor’s degree from Goddard College and spent over a decade working with the senior leadership team at Saint Joseph’s College in Maine.  She is also a registered yoga teacher and holistic health coach trained through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  Rose is excited be to joining the community and is looking forward to meeting all its members.

In her letter to the community, Rose expresses her enthusiasm and commitment to child development and education, as well as her passion for a Waldorf education. She explains, “Like many of you, we have joined this community because it provides a nurturing environment for child development, and a feeling of family where we can learn alongside each other, how to best cherish imagination and creativity.” Her vision for 2017 is to “discover new ways to increase engagement and provide space for members of our community to come together and strengthen our bond with each other and the greater school network of bright minds, big thinkers and problem solvers – just like our children!” The Mount Washington Valley welcomes you and thanks you for your dedication to education.

The White Mountain Waldorf School, established  in 1985, teaches children a curriculum that balances academic, artistic, and practical life skills; fostering each child’s ability to think with clarity, feel with compassion, and act with purpose and social responsibility in the world. While the school started out as a a small nursery-kindergarten, it now enrolls preschool aged children up to 8th grade students.  The school’s mission is to instill creativity and a desire for learning, cultivates social responsibility and personal integrity, and supports the home and greater community.
