About M&D Playhouse’s Upcoming Performance of “Clever Little Lies” on January 28th

CONWAY – On Saturday, January 28 at 6 p.m., prior to M&D Playhouse’s performance of “Clever Little Lies,” an artist reception will be held at 1857 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, for local artist Rosemary Gerbutavich.

Gerbutavich has been a lifelong lover of the visual arts since childhood. Following her retirement from nursing, Gerbutavich has been able to pursue watercolor as her primary medium. Although she has attended many group lessons and worked from home through the years painting with oils and acrylics, her lifelong infatuation with the transparency and fluid movement of colors that watercolor expresses, has drawn her into this new medium where she thrives.

Gerbutavich’s art approach is bright, bold colors with a whimsical expression which reflects her personality in both life and in art. She is best known for her technique of constant layering, adding various elements while building up texture and colors. She attends workshops with local as well as nationally acclaimed artists, in the endless quest of new interesting techniques. A juried member of the Mt. Washington Valley Arts Association, and a galleried member of the Ellis River Art Gallery in Jackson, NH, Gerbutavich has received numerous awards, including the 2016 First Place in 2-D Art at the Art in the Park Exhibition. Her work has been featured throughout the Valley, including displays at The Met and the Conway Library.

There is no cost to attend the reception, which will offer refreshments and a cash bar. However, tickets for “Clever Little Lies” are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
