AMC Highland Happenings at Crawford Notch

‘Find your outdoors’ with weekend programs and school vacation week programs at AMC Highland Center Lodge at Crawford Notch. During the month of February, experience weekend hikes, nature walks, outdoor skills sessions, social hours, and yoga starting at 9am weekend mornings until the late evening with featured evening programs. During school vacation week, February 18-26, bring the family for Kids Power Hour, Drop In Painting, kids movies, and family featured evening programs, including campfires and night hikes.

  • 8:00 am – 9:00 am Yoga (Sundays only)
  • 9:00 am Notch Hike: 1-3 hours, easy hike to a view or waterfall
  • 11:00 am  Notch Talk: Topics include: outdoor skills, history or natural world
  • 1:00 pm Notch Nature Walk or Notch Talk
  • 3:00 pm Outdoor Skills Sessions
  • 5:00 pm Social Hour & Trivia

February 18-26, Daily

  • 3:00 pm Outdoor Skills Sessions
  • 4:00 pm Kids Power Hour
  • 4-6:00 pm Drop In Painting with Artist in Residence
  • 5:00 pm Social Hour & Trivia
  • 7:30 pm Kids Movies Daily, PLUS Featured Evening Programs

The featured evening programs for the month of February include a closer look at  astronomy with Mountains of Stars: Astronomy at Crawford Notch with guest speaker Dr. Doug Arion on Saturday, February 18th at 7:30pm and story-telling at their Thru Hiking the Appalachian Trial event on Sunday, February 19th at 7:30pm.

Featured evening programs during school vacation include campfires on Monday, February 20th and Wednesday, February 22; a night hike on Tuesday, February 21 with AMC’s Outdoor Guides,  Tai Chi with Instructor Ruth Innes for all ages and experience levels on Thursday, February 23, featured film screening of Steep (a documentary on extreme and big mountain skiing) on Friday, February 24, and Hiking the Winter 48 presentation with special guest speakers Mike & Lori Innes who share photos and stories of their adventures checking off the list of New Hampshire’s 48 4000+ footers during the winter months on Saturday, February 25.
