Fall Festival at Settlers Green Kicks Off String of Fall Events at the Outlets

Settlers Green’s annual Fall Festival is slated for Saturday, September 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. “on the green” by Timberland Factory Store. Kid-friendly activities include pumpkin painting, free horse-drawn hay rides, live music, complimentary apple cider and apples and a nonprofit bake sale.

“September is a great time of the year to visit North Conway and our Fall Festival provides plenty of added activities for our shoppers to enjoy,” said Assistant Director of Marketing and Events, Laura Tuveson.

New this year, artist William Janelle of Bridgton, Maine, will be doing a series of pumpkin carvings throughout the event. The pumpkins will be auctioned off at the end of the day and the money raised will go to a local charity.

The always popular free horse-drawn hay rides, provided by Carousel Horse Farm, begin and end at the Timberland Factory Store and follow a route throughout Settlers Green. Free pumpkin painting with the purchase of a small pumpkin for $2 will include paints and some guidance from local artist, Carol Hanson.

To add to the day’s autumn atmosphere, local vocalist and guitarist Julia Velie will play at the Gazebo from 12-2 p.m., with lounge chairs available for listeners.

Fall Festival marks the start of a busy fall event schedule at Settlers Green Outlet Village, including its 3rd Annual Pumpkin People Challenge, which is set for October 1 and coincides with the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce’s Return of the Pumpkin People event. U.S. Cellular to Host Free Device Workshop in North Conway

Class Will Help Smartphone Users Get Most out of Their Device and Customize it for Their Lifestyle

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. – A smartphone or tablet is aimed to make your life easier but not everyone has the time to learn how to use their device to its full potential. To address this, U.S. Cellular is offering a free Device Workshop on Thursday, September 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 1584 White Mountain Road in North Conway, where current or potential smartphone users can learn more about the features, tips and tricks of their specific device. At the workshop, U.S. Cellular associates will offer attendees hands-on assistance to get the most out of the features on their Android™-powered, Windows™ Phone and BlackBerry® devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy S® 4.

“Your phone can simplify and enhance your life, which is why U.S. Cellular provides a high-speed network and the latest phones and tablets. Ensuring every customer knows how to get the most out of their device is just one of the ways we provide the best customer experience,” said Matt Kasper, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in New England. “U.S. Cellular offers a valuable rewards program that recognizes loyalty, which is just one example of how we treat every customer like a neighbor, not a number.”

The latest Android™-powered, Windows™ Phone and BlackBerry® options offered by U.S. Cellular enable customers to transform a smartphone to a device that meets their exact needs. The Samsung Galaxy S® 4 allows customers to enjoy faster web browsing and quick app downloads with access to U.S. Cellular’s high-speed network.

The workshop is open to everyone. Please call 603-356-7900 ext. 3 to RSVP.
