In conjunction with M&D Playhouse’s latest production, “The Last Romance,” an artist reception will be held for local artist Mary Bastoni-Rebmann on Thursday, September 28, at 6 p.m. at 1857 White Mountain Highway, North Conway.
Bastoni-Rebmann has lived in Mount Washington Valley for 34 years and is a professional musician and voice teacher. She has her masters degree in performance in classical voice and teaches at the University of Southern Maine and Mountain Top Music School, and has her private studio in Fryeburg. She directs and composes scores for her children’s musical theater workshops which are held throughout the year, and has directed several musical and non-musical productions throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Bastoni-Rebmann made her first acrylic painting over a year and a half ago and has found a new and deep passion for working with watercolor, oils, pastels, drawing, and charcoal. She joined Friday Painters in 2016 and became a juried artist with the Mount Washington Valley Arts Association in the late summer. In this time, Bastoni-Rebmann has had her paintings featured at The Met in North Conway, Ellis River Gallery, Art in the Park, her home studio and has done commission work thanks to Facebook.
There is no cost to attend the reception, which will offer refreshments and a cash bar. However, tickets for “The Last Romance” are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
