Our commitment to you is to provide the BEST locally grown produce on our salad bar. You will also notice a change in our Special Sheets this summer – fewer items, but everything will be locally produced – from greens to cheeses. There will be a Cheese Flight perfect for sharing as an appetizer or as a meal. We will be providing lamb, chicken & pork specials from White Gate Farms, Cheeses from The Lucy Family in Conway, tomatoes from Moriah Farms, other produce from Sherman Farms, and more. The specials will be designed to be lighter & healthier, too.
GLUTEN FREE LOVERS ARE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY
So many of our guests have chosen a gluten free lifestyle whether for health or dietary reasons, that Chef Dan decided to change up our menu a bit to accommodate these changes. We are baking homemade gluten free sandwich rolls as well as baguettes.
Baked Stuffed Seafood items can be made gluten free with a cornbread seafood stuffing – just ask! Also, some new items: Mediterranean Chicken -boneless breast with balsamic roasted vegetables & imported olives with Jasmine rice, Grilled Vegetable Lasagna – fresh locally sourced vegetables and house made mozzarella & ricotta layered with gluten free pasta, Brisket Wrap – slow cooked brisket with our BBQ or Chipotle BBQ, blueberry slaw, & caramelized onions in a gluten free wrap.
And top it off with a Gluten Free Chocolate Lava Bomb for dessert!

The 40th Annual Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup was held on Friday, March 15 at Attitash Mountain Resort. There were 117 racers that participated in today’s event, which is the longest running pro-style dual GS in the United States. Proceeds from today’s event benefit the Eastern Slope Ski Club, a Mt. Washington Valley-based non-profit organization that funds grade school skiers in the Mt. Washington Valley.
“This year’s 40th race brought in more racers than we’ve seen in several years,” said Terry O’Brien, owner of the Red Parka Pub and event organizer.
All racers get two runs for the qualifying round, which is held in the morning. The top 32 racers square off in the afternoon, with several categories of winners, based on division. Division A competes to be crowned the official champion of the Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup. This year, four-time winner Ben Drummond squared off against rookie Ace Tarberry in the Division A finals, with Tarberry beating out Drummond to be crowned the 2013 champion of the Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup. Official finishes, based on division, are listed below.

The Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup is the longest-running, pro-style dual giant slalom ski race in the United States. Considered the premier New England Amateur ski race, the RPP Challenge Cup attracts some of the best racers in the region. All proceeds from the race benefit the Eastern Slopes Ski Club, a local organization that funds youth skiing in the Mt. Washington Valley.
The Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup stems from the Red Parka Pub, located in Downtown Glen, New Hampshire. The restaurant opened its doors in 1973 and along with the pub came the birth of the first Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup. Join us in 2013 for the 40th anniversary of this event.
