The Snowvillage Inn is pleased to offer a multi-media presentation “It’s Not Aboutnotabouthike the Hike” on Saturday, September 20 from 1:30-3pm.  Nancy Sporborg & Pat Piper are two 50-plus-year-old women who started walking the sidewalks of Keene and ended up climbing the 100 Highest mountains in New England. But it’s not about the numbers. It’s about who they became as they hiked. Snowvillage Inn is offering a weekend package from Friday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 21 which includes the presentation as well as a la carte services: massage, facials and yoga on the porch. For local residents, the guided hike, presentation & lunch on Sat. Sept. 20 is $25.

According to Sporborg & Piper:  “Hiking has taught us that much of life’s joy comes from sharing the experience. So we have put together a presentation about our journey, and we give it every chance we get. Speaking in public gives us a way to share ourselves with others.”

It’s Not About the Hike presentation (also a book with over 245 color photographs presentation3150-1by Sporborg & Piper) is for EVERYONE — hikers and non-hikers, people who are sedentary or active, outdoor enthusiasts and indoor homebodies, 10 year olds and 90 year olds and everyone in between. Freeborn was born in Palo Alto CA and has resided for over 35 years in a small town in the mountains of Maine that serves as her inspiration for her paintings. Freeborn’s work is shown in numerous local galleries and centers. She is currently working on paintings for a children’s book.

“We are very pleased to have Gay’s work here at the Inn. Her love of nature is a terrific fit to the beauty of the Inn and its surrounds,” says Jen Kovach, Owner/Innkeeper at Snowvillage Inn.
